Legal Aid Society of Lubbock Inc receives $10,000.00 grant to fund new Office furniture
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASELegal Aid Society of Lubbock Inc. has received a $10,000.00 grant from the Community Foundation of West Texas to assist in funding for new office furniture. Receiving these funds will help purchase well needed furniture for our staff.
Legal Aid is a nonprofit organization serving Bailey, Cochran, Crosby, Dawson, Floyd, Gaines, Garza, Hale, Hockley, Lamb, Lubbock, Lynn, Terry, and Yoakum counties. Legal Aid provides low-income clients of the South Plains with first-rate legal assistance, advocacy, and quality counsel in matters of family and elder law at free and/or reduced cost. Formed in 1974, the organization has helped thousands of local women of Domestic family violence, providing protective orders for victims of Sexual Assault and Stalking.
Legal Aid is supported in part by grants from agencies and foundations and is a community partner of the United Way. Without their support, we could not continue to do the work of our mission to provide excellent legal services and support of domestic violence victims across the South Plains.
Established in 1981, the Community Foundation of West Texas is a regional philanthropic entity created by and for the people of the Texas South Plains region. The Community Foundation exists to improve quality of life in this region by helping area donors to give in ways that make an enduring impact on their community.
